My journey hasn't been one of simply collecting "things"—it has been a journey of caring for people. For many years, I have had the profound honor of being a part of lives of many, including those rare and wonderful centenarians who carried a century of wisdom in their hands and a world of stories in their hearts.
Walking alongside these generations, I was often graced by the very objects they held dear. I grew to see the deep craftsmanship and pride in every piece of jewelry, tinkets, every hand-forged tool, and detail in pieces of furniture. To me, these aren't just antiques; they are echoes of a time—much like my favorite show, the Little House on the Prairie—where every item was earned through real effort and cherished for its beauty and utility. These treasures show the importance of remembering the American dreams and journies that have lead to this day. I am the heart and hands that hold the stories and belongs of fifteen decades.
Today, my path has brought me back to my family. As I step into a season of providing financial and personal care for my father, it is time for me to part with the abundance of treasures I have acquired. Storage is costly and no place for these treasure that tell stories of history. While I am keeping the most historic or precious pieces to pass down to my grandchildren so they can touch, see and hear their history, I am opening the rest of this trunk to you.
My hope is that you find something here that speaks to you—a piece of history that brings the same honor and delight to your home as it has to mine. Along the way I will try to share short stories.
Please be patience and visit often this process will be time- consuming to post.
THANK YOU!
